Behaviour Mentor | Birmingham, B21 | £90 - £105 per day | September 2024

We are looking for a dedicated and empathetic Behaviour Mentor to join our two form entry, partner primary school in the Handsworth area. This role provides a rewarding opportunity to make a significant difference in the development and success of students requiring additional support in behaviour management. The school is looking for someone to start full-time from September, with the position becoming permanent for the right candidate.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 support to a student with behavioural challenges.
  • Help create a positive and nurturing learning environment.
  • Collaborate with teaching staff to plan and implement strategies that promote positive behavioural outcomes.
  • Encourage active participation and engagement in learning.
  • Assist students with their overall wellbeing by providing targeted interventions to support their learning and development.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Has previous experience working with SEN Students in a 1:1 or 2:1 environment.
  • Has knowledge of various SEN and SEMH needs and how these are best supported.
  • Excellent communication skills and an intimate knowledge of KS1 curriculum
  • Can support students working below the national average and help them reach their full potential.
