E&I Technician to join a globally leading Chemical company based on one of their sites in South Yorkshire, on a permanent basis, for a salary of between £39,000 - £43,000 per annum. As the E&I Technician you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety, reliability and efficiency of operations. Your primary responsibility would be to proactively address maintenance, both preventive and corrective, to uphold safety and quality standards and minimize unplanned equipment downtime, whilst ensuring timely and accurate communication is given to all stakeholders.

The E&I Technician will support the site's electronic equipment, control systems and instrumentation within the manufacturing environment.

To be successful in this role as E&I Technician you will have existing experience working within a similar environment, ideally Upper Tier COMAH and hold a minimum of an L3 NVQ. Instrumentation experience is essential when applying for this role.

Responsibilities of the E&I Technician :

  • Maintain instrumentation and control systems whilst also supporting the maintenance and reliability of mechanical aspects of the site processes.
  • Support root cause analysis for unplanned breakdowns, identifying and implementing actions to prevent their recurrence wherever practical.
  • Assist in developing and updating maintenance procedures and documentation related to plant, assets, and equipment as well as maintaining relevant management systems.
  • Supporting the implementation and commissioning of plant improvement projects, ensuring their safe and efficient execution, and identifying and implementing continuous improvement opportunities.
