Maternity Cover PE Teacher with Health & Safety Care Responsibilities
A school located in Northolt are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced PE Teacher to join our team on a temporary basis to cover maternity leave. The successful candidate will also take on responsibilities related to Health & Safety care within the school.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and effective Physical Education lessons to primary school students.
- Develop and implement a PE curriculum that promotes physical fitness, teamwork, and healthy lifestyles.
- Assess student progress and provide feedback to support their development.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of students during PE lessons and activities.
- Take responsibility for the Health & Safety care within the school, including conducting regular risk assessments and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with other staff members to promote a culture of safety and well-being.
- Participate in school events and extracurricular activities as required.
Requirements:
- Proven experience teaching PE to primary school students.
- Strong knowledge of health and safety practices and regulations.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to inspire and motivate students.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
- Enhanced DBS check on the update service or willingness to obtain one.
