Communications & Engagement Lead

Location: Annesley, Nottingham, NG15 0DR, Hybrid options
Salary: £28,000 to £38,000 per annum, DOE
Contract: Full time, permanent.
Hours: Monday to Friday 37.5 hours per week, 8:00 - 16:15.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Communications and Engagement Lead to join our team who will be responsible for all company communication and our employee engagement program PTOP (Performance through our People) activities across the site.  

Communications & Engagement Lead - Duties and responsibilities

•  Develop and implement an engaging internal communications strategy that will support key business or PTOP projects.
•  Project manage the implementation of communication events and take ownership of the site Internal Communications and ad hoc and practical communications.
•  Identify and recommend opportunities to enhance internal and external communication and ensure that the business is being effectively represented on social media platforms including LinkedIn.
•  Maintain, develop and promote the TST website, branding and promotional items.
•  Create and sustain an annual PTOP (Performance through our People) activity plan which engages all employees, including organising whole site events e.g. annual site wide briefings, Christmas activities, end of year celebrations and Performance awards.
•  Maintain and promote the employee recognition scheme through ‘TST hub’, enhancing engagement and driving behaviours in line with TST objectives.
•  Promote, and work as a role model to embed and strengthen TST culture by creating engaging content in line with company culture and values - Operating Safely, Operate Openly with Customer Focus and Operate with Respect and Integrity.  Influence directly within the PTOP team, through to delivery across the business via targeted initiatives and consistent messaging.
•  Lead management of the annual employment survey, supporting high participation and then ensuring results are suitably analysed and fed back to managers, supporting them to identify impactful action plans and tracking progress and outcomes by department and area.

Communications & Engagement Lead – Candidate, Key Competencies:

The successful candidate will be responsible for producing content for both print, digital publications and social media.  You will own and develop the communications plan, engagement strategy and PTOP activities, along with taking responsibility for project communications. Please note this is a stand-alone role aligned with the HR team.

•  Proven experience in communications and engagement, with knowledge of business-focused communications solutions where the output matches both business culture and stakeholder expectations.
•  Excellent writing skills with the ability to write for different audiences and utilising different media e.g. website, apps, social media, email, newsletters, video etc., developing the TST tone of voice to ensure messages have the desired effect.
•  Selection and use of a range of content and channels for specific target audiences by selecting appropriate visual and audio-visual material to improve the impact of communication (for example, photography, videos and infographics.
•  Strong skills in Microsoft Office and Office 365, working knowledge of Abode Creative Suite and WordPress.
