Job Title: Multi Skilled Engineer – Mechanical Bias

Location: Milton Keynes

Salary: £36,000 - £40,000

Working Hours:

• Week 1: Monday – Friday, 7am – 4pm
• Week 2: Monday – Friday, 10am – 7pm
• Alternating weeks

Call Out Schedule:

• 1 in 5 weeks
• Engineer must work Tuesday to Saturday when on call
• Standby rate: £200

Job Type: Full-Time

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform maintenance and repairs on mechanical systems including pumps, AHUs, FCUs, boilers, and water treatment systems.
• Carry out reactive maintenance tasks promptly and efficiently.
• Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues to minimize downtime.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.
• Collaborate with other team members and departments to ensure smooth operations.

Required Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Mechanical Engineer, preferably in a multi-skilled role.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems and components (pumps, AHUs, FCUs, boilers, water treatment, etc.).
• Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams and blueprints.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Flexibility to work varying shifts and be on call as required.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Additional certifications or training in specialized areas of mechanical work.
• Experience with electrical systems and general building maintenance.
