We are currently seeking a compassionate and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join our dedicated team and support our students with special educational needs.

Job Description:

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the educational and developmental needs of students with SEN. You will work closely with teachers, support staff, and parents to ensure that each student receives the tailored support they need to succeed.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the planning and delivery of tailored educational programs for students with SEN.
  • Support students in the classroom, ensuring they are engaged and able to participate fully in lessons.
  • Work one-on-one or in small groups with students to reinforce learning and provide additional support.
  • Help to create a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Assist with the implementation and monitoring of Individual Education Plans (IEPs/EHCP's).
  • Provide feedback to teachers on student progress and any concerns.
  • Support students with personal care and mobility needs, if required.
  • Encourage and promote independence and confidence in students.
  • Participate in relevant training and professional development opportunities.


Qualifications:

  • Experience working with SEN, preferably in an educational setting.
  • Understanding of SEN and strategies to support students with diverse needs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting children with special needs.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Relevant qualifications or training in SEN support (desirable).
