Electrical Engineer

Construction Recruitment Group are recruiting, our client are a leading Mechanical, Electrical, and Instrumentation contractor with projects in Ireland, Europe, and the UK.. They work across various sectors including Pharmaceutical, Power, Waste to Energy, Commercial, Data Centre, and Petrochemical.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Support the Engineering Manager
- Prepare and submit technical submittals for approval
- Liaise with vendors, suppliers, sub-contractors, specialist designers, and manufacturers regarding the specification, validation, and value engineering of products and equipment
- Assist with project engineering and design development
- Coordinate with clients and other design team members on technical and commercial issues
- Assist with pre-construction engineering activities including design development, construction details, technical submittals, and sub-contracts
- Participate in services coordination exercises and resolve coordination issues
- Provide technical support to the estimating, procurement, commercial, marketing, and construction teams
Qualifications:
- Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
Experience Required:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role with knowledge of Telecoms, BMS, and EPMS
- Understanding of LV Distribution, HV distribution, containment systems, lighting systems, lighting control systems, and small power systems
- Commissioning experience, particularly with EPMS/BMS systems
- Strong technical ability in all aspects of Electrical Engineering Services
- Proactive and capable of working independently
- Knowledge and experience of current IS, BS, EN, and IEC Standards
- Experience in client, vendor, and contractor interaction and management
- Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills
- Proficiency in Amtech, Dialux, AutoCAD, and MS Office Suite Software
- Proficiency in using Navisworks suite of tools
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy
