Senior Geotechnical Engineer

Location: Glasgow

Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 + Bonus

We are working with a long-standing client as they look to appoint a Senior Geotechnical Engineer in their Central Glasgow office.

The office provides multidisciplinary services to a wide range of clients spread across several sectors however, upon joining, your focus will be primarily within the Rail sector, servicing projects throughout the UK for key clients such as Network Rail.

Rail experience of course provides a distinct advantage however, it is non-essential as comprehensive training and support is provided to all team members.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support and mentorship to junior members.
  • Manage team workloads efficiently and effectively.
  • Identify key geotechnical risks that could impact project success.
  • Conduct both concept and detailed design for a variety of geotechnical projects.
  • Prepare comprehensive technical reports, including ground investigation reports.

Key Requirements:

  • Several years of experience within geotechnical engineering.
  • Nearing Chartership status (several attributes signed off).
  • Strong background in earthwork design, slope stability, foundation design, pile design, soil nailing, ground anchors, and retaining walls.
  • Experience within the rail sector is highly advantageous.

What We Offer:

  • Competitive salary: £40,000 - £45,000.
