We are working with an established textile product manufacturing company based in Middleton.  They are recruiting for a Maintenance Engineer with an electrical bias to join their team on a 3-shift pattern (Mon-Fri) in return for a salary in the region of £42,000 - £45,000 along with overtime opportunity and additional training and development.

The Maintenance Engineer needs to possess a strong hands-on background and electrical skills directly related to operating in a 24/5 manufacturing environment. Requires considerable working knowledge of PLC’s, drives, HMI’s and associated electronic equipment. Must be willing and able to undertake additional training and development as needed to work to and uphold standards.

Key Responsibilities include:

• Following planned, preventative maintenance schedules
• Reacting quickly to machinery breakdowns
• Reading engineering drawings and schematics
• Servicing machinery
• Electrical maintenance and repair
• PLC fault finding
• Working with other departments to ensure production continues running
• Recording all work carried out 

Qualifications & Experience required:

• City and Guilds / Level 3 qualification in Engineering
• Completion of an Engineering Apprenticeship
