Our client, a key player in the energy and transportation sectors, is currently seeking a Principal Designer (CDM) to join their dynamic team in Reading. This permanent role offers the opportunity to work on a diverse portfolio of electrical schemes, contributing to the delivery of high-profile projects across various sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Undertaking principal designer duties, including site visits and preparation of pre-construction documentation
- Assisting in the preparation of health and safety/CDM documentation for contractors and stakeholders
- Managing projects within agreed budgetary limits and time scales
- Attending design and site meetings, and conducting site inspections
- Collaborating with colleagues and keeping them informed of project-related issues
Job Requirements:
- Experience in CDM/Health and Safety issues
- Qualifications such as HNC, HND, BSc or MSc (or equivalent) in a construction-related field
- Self-motivated and adaptable to working in office, site, or home environments
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills
- Good understanding of relevant legislation
