Are you ready to take on an exciting role as a Field Service Engineer in the Life Sciences industry? Our client, a global biotechnology company dedicated to improving the human condition, is looking for a talented individual like you to join their UK and Ireland Service Team.

As a Field Service Engineer, you will have the opportunity to support customers by servicing, installing, and repairing scientific instruments and machines. From Real Time PCR to DNA Sequencing machines, you will work directly with customers at their sites, ensuring safe and effective operations.

To succeed in this field-based role, you will need to be prepared for extensive travel across the UK and Ireland. If you are a recent graduate or have a professional background in Life Sciences or lab experience, this opportunity is perfect for you!

What will you do as a Field Service Engineer?

  • Perform service activities within guidelines and regulations
  • Install, repair, and maintain instruments to ensure customer success
  • Provide responsive telephone and on-site support
  • Build and maintain professional relationships with existing customers
  • Identify sales leads and collaborate with the Sales team
  • Coordinate your work schedule with relevant partners
  • Produce accurate reports of your activities

Who are we looking for?

  • Someone with a professional background in Life Sciences or related subjects
  • Lab experience is a plus
  • Background in Electronics, Engineering, or Biochemistry is desirable
  • High technical certificate or academic degree preferred
  • Some past experience in a service function is a bonus
  • Troubleshooting knowledge and experience is beneficial
  • Excellent communication skills and a strong team player
  • Proficient in English and possessing a valid driving licence
