Can you bring a hands-on and proactive approach to maintenance?

Do you have experience of minimising downtime of machines to avoid costs to the business?

Are all your engineering efforts focused on increasing productivity and efficiencies?

Responsible for planned and reactive maintenance on a wide range of manufacturing equipment and plant. As a Shift Engineer you will be able to identify and rectify faults both Mechanically and Electrically along with ensuring planned maintenance work is completed within specified timescales. A proactive approach is required, and the engineer will be expected to take ownership of issues found and drive to completion without supervision.

Person Specification

  • Experienced in both mechanical and electrical engineering – preferable
  • Able to work on own initiative with minimum supervision
  • Ability to work independently and identify areas that need preventive maintenance
  • Manufacturing knowledge and experience
  • Successful track record of working within a fast paced and demanding environment
  • Ability to carry out risk assessments and document method statement
  • Able to work under pressure and deliver results to tight deadlines.
  • A flexible attitude to working

Desirable skills or experience:

  • Working Knowledge of Steam/Pressure systems
  • Any UHT process experience would be advantageous
  • inspection and Testing 2391
  • Experience of food manufacturing environment
  • Working Knowledge of HACCP
