Accounts Assistant (Accountancy Practice)

Location: Montrose, Angus (Office based)

Salary: £23k - £28k + Excellent Benefits

The Client:

Our client is an established accountancy practice offering expert advice and services to businesses and individuals.

The Role:

As an Accounts Assistant, you will be providing high-quality accounting and tax services while supporting business growth. Graduates are also considered.

Duties:

• Prepare company accounts and tax returns.
• Manage sole trader accounts and personal tax returns.
• Participate in VAT and payroll tasks.
• Guide junior staff and ensure team targets are met.
• Maintain excellent client communication and meet deadlines.
• Work hands-on within the Production Accounting team.
• Assist in improving and developing business procedures.

Requirements:

• Previously worked as an Accounts Assistant, Accountant or in a similar role.
• Minimum of 2 years' experience in an accounting practice.
• Skilled in cloud-based accounting systems.
• Qualification or experience in accounting;
• Must hold the right to work in the UK.
