Avanti Recruitment is working with a well-established Cyber Security company based in Central London, and is currently on the lookout for a Senior AOSP Developer to join their team. Where you will be responsible for building developing and maintaining AOSP-based project to ensure they are meeting the clients’ needs. This role will be a hybrid position, ideally you will be able to come into the office 3 days per week but they are open to 1 day per week.

The company provides security solutions that are trusted by thousands of companies in a wide range of different industries but are mostly focused on the public sector and government.

Due to the nature of this role you must be a UK National and eligible to obtain SC Clearance.

You will be working as a sole developer alongside 1 QA Engineer to begin with, working on a greenfield project where you will be building out an Android-based Appliance. Eventually throughout the year they will build out a team around you.

You will find yourself collaborating with product managers, architects and other developers to define requirements and user stories. You will be working on designing, developing, testing and maintaining high quality Android components.

You will also find yourself conducting code reviews, providing feedback and ensuring compliance with design guidelines.

Essential Skills:

-          Strong experience with developing and releasing AOSP based projects

-          Strong Java knowledge for Android

-          Familiar with Kotlin, C or C++

-          Experience with Android Studio, SDK, Development tools and build systems

-          Android Security including permission / authentication / encryption

-          Ability to obtain SC Clearance or already hold SC Clearance

Desirable Skills:

-          Agile project management exposure

-          REST APIs and JSON

-          Git or similar VC

-          Degree in Computer Science or STEM

-          Experience Leading a team or Line Management of Software Engineers
 

The salary on offer is up to £85,000 (Possible flex for the right person).
