Then look no further as my well-established client is looking out for an ambitious Senior Civil Engineer, with relevant UK experience of minimum 3+ years'.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:

Job Responsibilities
  • Leading the design of civil engineering projects, including roads, bridges, buildings, water and sewage systems, and other infrastructure.
  • Reviewing and approving engineering plans, designs, and specifications created by junior engineers and technicians.
  • Managing and mentoring a team of engineers, technicians, and other staff, providing technical guidance and ensuring high performance.
  • Coordinating with other engineering disciplines, architects, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Providing mentorship and training to junior engineers and staff, fostering their professional growth and development.

Experience
  • Minimum 3+ years’ experience;
  • Working towards Chartership with the ICE;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • Experience of developing SuDS strategies for major developments;
  • Detailed design of below ground drainage networks, including SuDS elements, for buildings, highway and public realm;
  • Highway, pavement design and ground modelling experience is beneficial but not essential;
  • Experience of design for flood mitigation including developing sites in Flood Zone 3 is beneficial but not essential;
  • Knowledge of design software such as WinDes (Microdrainage), Civil 3D, and the use of BIM.
