New Business Development Manager

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years sales experience in the materials handling/Intralogistics sector where you would be responsible for generating new business.
You will be tasked to identify current and future projects whilst promoting the company brand. This position will be a home-based role with easy access to Northampton where you will be required for sales meeting updates.
Responsibilities and Experience
- Direct experience of selling within the Intralogistics Warehousing arena and/or automation related to or involved in high volume processing of goods, manufactured items, etc.
- Technical competence in conveyor technology and related automation. (We are not interested in someone who sells robots/robot cells at a low level or one-off islands of automation.)
- Wide network of contacts and customer knowledge of E-Commerce, Retail, Warehousing, Logistics and Conveyor applications.
- Strong hunter mentality and driven to generate leads and relationships. Someone who is purely technical sales and gets sucked into the detail engineering will lose bandwidth to generate more leads.
- Capacity and capability to travel extensively in the UK for direct sales activity, business development and/or networking, exhibitions, and trade events.
- Commercial aptitude and ability to understand turnkey projects and customised solutions.
