The Secondary School’s ethos is based on the development of the pupils, giving them an opportunity to develop their individual talents and aptitudes within and beyond the classroom. The school offer an extensive range of extra curriculum opportunities for their students including the Duke of Edinburgh Award, Cyber Club, Gospel Choir and other activities.

The Secondary School are looking to take on a passionate Learning Support Assistant / LSA on a part time permanent basis. The successful applicant will be working with teachers to maintain an innovative, dynamic and engaging environment, supporting pupils with their development in the ‘Hub area’ of the school working 1:1. You will be required to create valued relationships with students whilst ensuring you are adhering to the most up to date safeguarding regulations and acting professionally. On Wednesdays you will be covering the first aid room for the school and therefore the successful candidate will need to be certified in First Aid at work.

The successful Teaching Assistant will have:

• Minimum Level 2 Teaching Assistant / TA qualification OR at least 6 month experience in an educational establishment
• Experience working with children that have ALN
• First aid certification
• Ability to support the child’s educational and social development
• Excellent verbal communication skills
