A Leading Regional Civil Engineering contractor are recruiting a for a Site Agent to join their busy Southeastern Division which covers Kent, East Sussex and Surrey.

The company has an outstanding relationship with Kent County Council, Numerous private clients, and several major residential developers in the region.

The successful candidate will have experience of working on civil engineering projects.

At this time, my client would consider applications from those seeking both permanent and long term contract positions.

Site Agent duties include:

• To efficiently manage; safety, quality, cost, programme performance on a project or assist a project manager on a large scale project.
• Advising the engineering team with solutions to technical challenges
• Assist in production and integration of 3-week programmes
• Manage designs from the inhouse and external designers
• Support the project team with construction methodology and sequencing
• Collaborate with the project team on resource, plant and material requirements
• Training and mentoring the junior members of the engineering team
• Demonstrate value engineering throughout the construction process
• Managing RFI's and Technical Queries

Qualifications and competencies:

Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or another relevant subject matter

NVQ Level 4 in Construction Management or equivalent SMSTS

CSCS Black First Aid

Temporary Works Co-Ordinator Appointed Person - Excavator Only Management of Confined Space IOSH Management of Buried Services Contractual Knowledge

Able to produce/update programmes using ASTA Powerproject Able to read and understand drawings, BoQ's and specifications Able to understand plant/labour/materials/subcontract allowances
