Are you a CFO/finance director in industry, but are getting too involved in the day-to-day activities, and would like to express your talent more across multiple businesses?

Position Overview:

Make the vision of transforming quality of life for business owners a reality the clients you are responsible for.

Using your expertise and acumen to support our clients in growing their business, generating cash, maximising profitability and building valuable businesses, and deliver on a 3 year growth plan.

You will be backed up by a team of accountants that will be responsible for the day-to-day accounting and tax requirements for these clients, but you will be responsible for representing the Oldfield brand to our clients and developing a great relationship with them, in view of client retention and creating fans that will refer us to others.

Senior Client Adviser - Key Responsibilities:

Client ‘go to’ contact:

  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of the client's business, and develop a great relationship with them.
  • Lead regular client meetings where we help clients set a financial plan, and hold them accountable to this, including analysing and presenting their financial performance. Providing strategic advice and support, including tax planning.
  • Address day-to-day client queries promptly - add value in every touchpoint.
  • Advocate for clients within Oldfield, ensuring optimal outcomes.
  • Facilitate client interactions with other team members (e.g., tax team).

Uncover opportunities, provide solutions:

  • Using the opportunity of regular client contact to identify and seek out sales opportunities.
  • Uncover needs, propose solutions, and work with sales and tax teams to upsell additional projects.

Coaching:

  • Train junior members to become Client Advisers, sharing knowledge and expertise.
  • 4Business Acumen:
  • Using your knowledge, expertise and understanding of business principles, KPIs, plus profitability, cash flow and business value drivers to improve client quality of life.

Client Experience:

  • Ensure clients experience company values in action.
  • Uphold professional standards in communications and meetings.

Senior Client Adviser - Qualifications:

  • Strong commercial acumen and portrays high level of professionalism.
  • Solutions mindset
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations.
  • Willingness to develop a strong understanding of key tax matters - Corporation Tax, Personal Tax, IHT, CGT etc
  • Understanding different types of business model, how they make money and related accounting methods for different business models
  • Excellent communication and verbal skills at all different levels to include presentations, with the ability to self-motivate and manage clients
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Readiness to learn sales skills to enable upselling to clients
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in an accounting or financial advisory role.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple client relationships and deliver high-quality service.
