About the Nursery Assistant Role:

We are looking for a dedicated and nurturing Nursery Teaching Assistant to join our friendly and supportive team. The successful candidate will work closely with the Nursery Teacher to provide a safe, stimulating, and engaging learning environment for our youngest learners. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about early childhood education to make a significant impact on the development of young children.



Nursery Assistant Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the planning and delivery of a variety of activities that support children's learning and development.
  • Provide individual and group support to children, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment where every child feels valued and supported.
  • Help prepare and maintain the classroom environment, including setting up activities and organizing resources.
  • Observe and assess children's progress, sharing observations with the Nursery Teacher to inform planning.
  • Build strong relationships with children, parents, and staff, communicating effectively and professionally.
  • Support children with personal care needs as required.
  • Participate in school events, meetings, and training sessions as needed.


Nursery Assistant Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with young children in a nursery or early years setting is essential.
  • A relevant qualification in Early Years Education or Childcare (e.g., NVQ Level 2/3) is desirable.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • A caring and patient nature with a genuine passion for working with children.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Understanding of safeguarding procedures and the ability to ensure the safety of all children.
