This role will be responsible for supporting the Project and Factory team in the management and supervision of contractors and suppliers on site through the construction and commissioning phase. Working closely with the Project Manager and Engineering Manager on site ensuring Health and Safety rules and procedures are being followed and adhered to at all times. This will include issuing permits, reviewing Risk Assessments and Method Statements, completing inductions and daily monitoring on site.

This is a key and exciting time in the development of our product offering within Ibstock Futures, the development of a new facility presents a great opportunity for lean optimisation and industrialisation and the successful applicant will be key in driving our Health and Safety culture on the site and developing and delivering on a key strategic investment.

Role Responsibilities/Duties
• Dedicated H&S support to Project Team
• Consistent deployment of H&S standards to the Project
• Defined H&S system and deployment of said system for the Project
• Site auditing/inspection
• Promotion of safety observation
• Safety briefings and tool box talk design and delivery
• Contractor control inclusive of vetting, induction management, database management and the review and approval of risk assessments and method statements.
• Issuing and managing permits to work.
• Project team safety training
• The collection and analysis of information
• Work with key suppliers and OEM’s to ensure H&S compliance
• Specifically working on our latest capital investment project in the West Yorkshire – involving the construction of a factory building and the installation of state of the art manufacturing equipment

Key Skills/Experience
• IOSH Managing Safety/NEBOSH General Certificate
• Project Management Experience
• A demonstrable commitment to the continuous improvement
• Well-developed numeracy and communication skills
• A high degree of self-motivation & willing to travel/stay away from home
• A team player who works with others at all levels of the organisation
