Hays Education is working closely with a Secondary School in Liverpool who are looking for a full-time, Long Term Teaching Assistant to join their team. This school is a well-established, forward-thinking school, which maintains high educational standards and high standards of discipline.

Your new role

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our team in a long-term position starting from September. Hays Education is looking for a Teaching Assistant who will provide some one-to-one support and group work for pupils who have SEN needs. Your role will be to enhance and enrich the learning of the pupils in your care. You will be working alongside the class teacher to help deliver the curriculum effectively.

What you'll need to succeed

To be considered for this Teaching Assistant job you will:

• Hold a qualification in Childcare or teaching assisting or equivalent qualifications in Teaching & Learning.
• Have reference-able experience working in a similar role in the last 2 years.
• You will be confident supporting students with Maths and English amongst other subjects.
• Be able to offer 1:1/group sessions
• You will be motivational, with a proven record of managing challenging behaviour and encouraging progress in pupils.
