The company

A leading multi-disciplinary engineering group with an annual turnover of over £100 million, who offer specialised electrical solutions to many big-name clients across the UK. After securing several long-term contracts with key customers, the company is seeking an Approved Electrician to join their team and cover the South East of England.

The role

The company is looking for an Approved Electrician to install various low voltage wiring and containment systems, as well as test and inspect electrical installations. This role has a 40 hour week with the opportunity for overtime.

You will take responsibility for:

• Performing and adhering to Safe Electrical Isolation procedure of existing live circuits.
• Testing & Energisation of systems up to 1000V, including new and modified electrical installations.
• Installing various low voltage wiring and cable containment systems.
• Issuing of Installation and condition reports.
• Ensure all operational procedures, safe working practices and H&S procedures are adhered to.

What you need

It is ESSENTIAL for the successful candidate to have the following:

• Experience working within the Manufacturing and Industrial sector
• 2391 or 2394/5 qualified and must have knowledge of condition reporting.
• 17th edition qualified.
• NVQ Level 3 qualification / Level 3 Inspection, Testing & Certification of Electrical Installations.
• Ability to read and interpret Electrical Schematic Diagrams and Drawings.

Other DESIRABLE skills include:

• Experience of electrical installations and testing within a process plant environment.
