Family Support Worker

About the Role

As a Family Support Worker you will undertake Family help assessments. You will be working in the intensive family support service and will manage and coordinate a case load of children and families who would benefit from a coordinated  multi – agency plan of support, assessing and managing risk in line with Trafford’s Levels of Need.

About you

Candidates must have experience in Early help assessments, planning and home visits. 

You will bring experience in working with families in a whole – family way building on relationships with a restorative practice approach. We recognise that children live in families and we would welcome applications from practitioners with experience in mental health, domestic abuse, substance misuse, neuro-diversity as well as those who have experience of working with children and young people.

You will ensure children and young people’s voices are heard and their lived experiences understood. You will bring excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to work in complex situations with a determination to improve quality of life outcomes for children and young people and families.

Role will be office based initially but home working will be allowed for admin days. Candidates may be allocated duty days to see to emergencies across the service.
