Job Title: Trainee Bridging Finance Underwriter (Will look at Mortgage Underwriters for this role)

Salary: Up to £35,000 + Bonuses + Staff Benefits

Job Summary:

Assist in the underwriting process for bridging finance applications, learning and contributing to risk assessment, documentation review, and communication with stakeholders. This role provides hands-on experience in financial analysis and decision-making under the guidance of seasoned underwriters.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and analyse loan applications for eligibility and adherence to guidelines.
• Collaborate with senior underwriters to assess borrower financials and collateral.
• Assist in evaluating creditworthiness, identifying risks, and proposing mitigation strategies.
• Examine and verify documentation accuracy and completeness.
• Work with the documentation team to gather necessary information.
• Interact with brokers, clients, and stakeholders for information clarification.
• Contribute to effective communication of underwriting decisions.
• Utilize financial models and analysis tools to assess relevant information.
• Participate in training programs to enhance understanding of bridging finance and underwriting.
• Work collaboratively with departments to ensure smooth underwriting processes.
• Learn and adhere to regulatory requirements and internal policies.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Experience within a lender or broker background acting as an underwriter or case manager.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
