Gi group are proud to be working in partnership with a well-known food manufacturing company, who are one of the most well-known manufacturers in the UK, the company in question are looking for an NPD chef (New product development).

Job Role:
As an NPD chef (New product development), you will be tasked for carrying out Full produce development cycles, overseeing the clients expectations for new products from concept to launch. You will need to understand consumer needs innovating them into the new products you create leading the business into new areas of profitability.

Typical Duties will involve:

• Health and safety including compliance with regulations and best practices in all aspects of new products.
• Identifying potential risks and hazards associated with the development of new products.
• Upholding stringent food safety and quality standards throughout the development life cycle.
• Apply in depth process knowledge to develop efficient and scalable production processes for new and existing products across multiple projects ensuring deadlines are met.
• Proactive management of recipe generation, managing procurement and commercial so stock and budget are met and kept up to date.
• Leading projects and effectively contributing to existing project to drive continuous improvement.

Desirable experience

• Degree level or equivalent length experience
• Minimum level 2 food safety certificate
• Minimum of 2 years' experience in a food manufacturing environment.
• Ideally have experience with ready meals or pastry.
