Our client is a groundworks company specialising in delivering exceptional groundworks and civil engineering services for residential, commercial, and infrastructure projects. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for groundworks projects, including site preparation, excavation, drainage, and foundation works.
  • Monitor project budgets, track expenditures, and ensure adherence to financial targets.
  • Assist in the preparation and submission of tender documents, evaluating subcontractor bids and negotiating contracts.
  • Manage contracts from inception to completion, including variations, progress payments, and final accounts.
  • Provide regular financial reports to management, highlighting cost variances and recommending corrective actions.
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings and value engineering, optimising project efficiency without compromising quality.
  • Assess and manage financial risks associated with projects, implementing mitigation strategies where necessary.
  • Work closely with project managers, site teams, and subcontractors to ensure effective cost control and project delivery.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction or groundworks industry.
  • Qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills, proficiency in cost estimation software, and excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
