As an English Teacher, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality education to our students in the absence of regular teaching staff. The school we work with is dedicated to academic excellence, creative thinking and development. We are currently seeking a positive and dynamic English Teacher to Best In Class.

Your primary responsibilities will include (but not limited to):

  • Delivering engaging and effective English lessons across various year groups in KS3 and KS4.
  • Implementing lesson plans and maintaining classroom control.
  • Assessing and providing feedback on the work of students.
  • Adapting to different teaching environments and students’ needs.
  • Collaborating with other support and staff members to support overall educational goals.

Key responsibilities:

  • Teaching: Deliver English lessons in accordance with the current curriculum.
  • Classroom Management: Maintain a positive and conducive learning environment.
  • Student Engagement: Motivate and inspire students to achieve their academic potential.
  • Adaptability: Quickly adapt to different classroom settings and student groups.
  • Communication: Effectively communicate with students, staff and parents as necessary.

You will need:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Degree in English or a related field.
  • Proven experience in teaching English at secondary level.
  • Strong classroom management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to work in different teaching environments.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
