Are you a Teaching Assistant with experience with Special Educational Needs? At Best In Class, we are looking for an experienced SEND Support Assistant to work in a Bradford Primary School in North Bradford? The school is looking for a passionate individual who is flexible and who can adapt to support Additional Needs.

As a SEND Support Assistant you will provide essential support to a small group of children who have special educational needs including emotional and social needs. Your role will be to ensure that all children are a part of the inclusive environment.

To be successful in this role, it is vital that you have experience with children within an educational setting.

Your roles and responsibilities will include:

  • Provide small group or 1:1 support to children with special educational needs who have an EHCP.
  • Reinforce learning objective and adapt materials to suit individual learning styles to create an inclusive environment.
  • Monitor student progress and behaviour and manage positively.
  • Work with class teachers and the SENCO to implement EHCPs.
  • Encourage the social and emotional development of students, promoting positive behaviour and self esteem, this may include supporting children with managing and creating friendships as well as creating boundaries.

For this role, you will also need:

  • Qualifications relating to the role, ideally Level 2 or above
  • GCSE grade Maths, English and Science
  • An enhanced DBS this is registered to the Update Service
  • Two suitable references covering the past two years
  • Right to work in the UK
