Our client is a rapid growing Big Data and IoT enabled technology company, removing barriers to commercial fleet decarbonisation.

The Role:

We are recruiting a Senior Analyst, focusing on a combination of new features for the company’s real time management platform, as well as analysing fleet and energy data to inform customers’ investment decisions and mentoring junior staff.

Projects typically involve working collaboratively to develop an approach to answering customers’ questions about how to decarbonise their operations, processing large amounts of energy and movement data, running statistical, physical modelling and optimisation toolsets to analyse and prepare visualisations for clients.

This role presents the chosen candidate with an excellent opportunity to progress into General Management within the organisation.

You will undertake:

  • Data Management by importing, cleaning and organising raw data in a way that enables both you and the team to make best use of it.
  • Data Analysis by working with team to develop baseline and counterfactual models of client operations to quantify the feasibility, cost and emissions implications of decarbonisation strategies.
  • Visualizations and Reports: you will help to see and understand customer’s data in a way that enables our client to identify opportunities for energy, cost and emissions savings as well as effectively communicating these opportunities to their customers.
  • Forecasting and Optimisation: you will select and apply statistical and machine learning methods to forecast future behaviour of physical and operational systems. You will then apply a variety of optimisation approaches to select the best short and long term operating strategies.
  • Enterprise System Integrations: you will work with the developer and DevOps teams to prototype new integration features for the operate management platform.
  • Client Interactions you will work with the CEO and analyst team on client interactions as part of wider relationship development activities.
  • Project Leadership you will lead analyst teams working in partnership with the other senior analysts and CEO to deliver client projects.

Requirements:

The role requires significant amounts of hands-on quantitative data analysis, so you will need:

  • Degree level qualification or higher in a numerate discipline (e.g. computer science, economics, logistics, engineering or physics)
  • At least 2 years’ experience applying your skills in a relevant professional environment and any leadership experience is a bonus.
  • Strong grounding in Python modelling and statistical analysis is essential to this role.

Prior experience of the following is at least two of the following is essential:

  • Client/customer interactions      
  • System or process modelling
  • Optimisation Problems
  • Statistical analysis or Machine Learning

Experience or interest in the following fields would be highly beneficial:

  • Electric Vehicles and Chargers
  • Energy Storage and renewables
  • Commercial vehicles
  • Logistics Operations and Software

Further Details:

  • Salary grade for this role is £50-60k depending on experience and qualifications.
  • The company operates a pension scheme, whereby the company matches employee contribution of 5% of salary with a contribution of 3% of salary.
  • The company has an EMI share option scheme, for which this role is eligible at the next expansion.
  • Holiday entitlement is 25 days p.a. excluding bank holidays, following probation.
