Join a lovely company with a solid reputation in the community! Located in the heart of Winsford Industrial Estate, known for their commitment to excellence and supportive work environment. We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Transport Coordinator to join the team. 

Job Description:

As a Transport Coordinator, you will be responsible for coordinating a small fleet of trucks to ensure products are delivered to fulfil customer requirements at the lowest cost. You will play a key role in planning, coordinating, and liaising with various teams to ensure efficient and timely transport operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Fleet Coordination: Manage a small fleet of trucks to ensure products are delivered efficiently and cost-effectively.
  • Planning: Include supplier collections and other site requirements in your planning while ensuring compliance with driving hours regulations.
  • Liaison: Work with other sites to maximize the efficient use of all vehicles within the group.
  • Third-Party Utilization: Utilize third-party hauliers to meet demand and/or enhance the efficiency of our own trucks.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with Customer Service and Logistics teams to produce manifests for Irish and international shipments.
  • Request Handling: Deal with transport-related requests professionally and promptly, including booking deliveries, obtaining PODs, and pricing specials.
  • Warehouse Support: Provide clear instructions to the warehouse team for loading and unloading, and offer hands-on support as needed.
  • Administration: Perform general administration tasks within an office environment and assist with other roles during holiday periods.

Reporting to the Warehouse and Logistics Manager - GFUK, this role is part of our hands-on Warehouse Team, working closely with other functions across the business.

Requirements: 

There is a need to work flexibly and have a customer service oriented “can do” approach. 

Attention to detail is important and the ability to work under pressure and to deadlines.

HOURS:

8.30am to 5.15pm Monday to Thursday

8:30am to 5:00pm Friday.
