Role: General Foreman
Salary: £300 - £350 per day (varies on experience)
Location: Bewdley (and surrounding areas)
Start Date: As soon as possible
Reporting to: Works Manager
The Foreman Role
This is a single Foreman role that the business are looking to fill, they have an existing close-knit team who are able to add value to each other, its a great working environment with every staff member pulling in the same direction, the working locations will be in the Worcestershire area but works after this project will cover the South Staffordshire area.
Your role as a Foreman is to lead and coordinate activities against the work programme, working within the Project Teams and promoting health, safety, environmental and construction best practice at every opportunity.
The day to day role as a Foreman
- Ensure completion of site audits and assist Project team.
- Ensure Permit to Work systems, Inductions and Briefings are correctly carried out.
- Plan and co-ordinate the operational delivery of the project as required.
- Oversee the day-to-day construction processes and ensure co-ordination within the site team, client, and contractors.
- Attend meetings with and maintain necessary regular contact with clients and stakeholders.
The right Foreman will have
- Sound knowledge of construction methods, health and safety, and legal regulations as well as a comprehensive understanding and experience of a wide range of construction techniques and best practices.
- Experience of managing and developing staff.
- Adopt a proactive approach to the environment and customer care of all the stakeholders involved in a project - promotion of positive image of the Company name to protect and promote the brand name.
- Exprience of working on water or pipeline projects previously.
As a Foreman you'll have
- CITB Level 3 Safety Course SMSTS (5 day).
- Appropriate CSCS card.
- First Aid at Work (4 day).
- Experienced in IT Packages e.g. Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint.
