Type: Permanent, Full-time Hybrid - 3 days onsite
Salary: £40-50K per annum DOE + 10% matched pension + benefits

Company Overview:
We are currently seeking an Assistant Project Manager for a major investment project at Burham Water Treatment Works (WTW), part of the CMDP JV framework. This project extends through AMP 8, with a focus on clean water and complex, high-profile challenges.

Role Overview:
The Assistant Project Manager (APM) will report to the Project Manager (PM) and support them in various duties, including project governance, supply chain management, client interactions, and team development. The APM will act as the PM's deputy and ensure project success in health, safety, quality, environmental outcomes, and commercial performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with legal and industry standards.
  • Support health and safety management for the duration of the project.
  • Administer the Project Management Plan, ensuring Quality Assurance.
  • Implement the company's Business Management System.
  • Ensure project staff have appropriate training and experience.
  • Understand client and supply chain contracts.
  • Support the PM and QS in supply chain notifications and manage project costs.
  • Become proficient in the client's digital platforms.
  • Communicate project outputs to the team.
  • Manage stakeholder accountability and escalate issues to the PM or QS.
  • Maintain quality management and reporting, meeting client KPIs.
  • Lead client-facing project governance.
  • Assist in resource profiling and support the Site Manager in reporting.

Candidate Requirements:

Essential:

  • HND/HNC education or equivalent professional qualifications/experience.
  • Knowledge of health and safety legislation and CDM duty holder relationships.
  • Hold H&S qualifications (SMSTS/IOSH/NEBOSH).
  • Membership in a relevant professional body (e.g., APM, CMI, ICE).
  • Working towards professional chartership.
  • Experience in delivering multi-disciplinary projects.
  • Stakeholder management skills.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and management skills.
  • Self-motivated, resilient, and tenacious.
  • Full driving licence.

Desirable:

  • Experience in water treatment plants.
  • Knowledge of digital delivery tools.
