Job Title: Senior Support Worker
Location: Milton Keynes
Salary: £26,520 - £30,000 per annum (DOE)
Reports to: Residential Manager

Your role at Glance:
- Holistic Care: Provide day-to-day care for young people, supporting them in activities, education, and statutory meetings
- Team Leadership: Lead shifts, supervise care staff, and ensure a therapeutic approach is maintained across all care teams
- Operational Excellence: Maintain high standards in the home, including cooking, cleaning, and safeguarding the welfare of all residents
- Collaborate Efforts: Work closely with educational and multi-disciplinary teams, as well as external providers and partner organisations
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure the therapeutic approach is consistent and effective
- Support the business, clinical, and social development of the service
- Supervise and guide care staff, leading by example
- Maintain the home to a high standard, ensuring compliance with all policies and procedures
- Lead and manage shifts, ensuring a smooth and safe operation at all times
What You Bring:
- Qualifications: NVQ Level 3: Caring for Children and Young People or equivalent relevant residential experience
- Experience: Proven experience working with young people aged 12 to 17 with challenging behaviors, including shift leading and supervising care staff
- Skills: Excellent written and spoken English, with the ability to write records and reports. Strong understanding of the issues faced by young people, including the effects of abuse and depression.
- Requirements: A valid driving license is essential
