Logistics Operations Specialist - 39663

We are working with a collaborative company to recruit a Logistics Operations Specialist, and the role comes with an umbrella contract rate of £25.96 per hour (inside IR35).

The Logistics Operations Specialist will support a busy, time-pressure test planning and logistics team. You'll help manage test vehicles and test property internal movement and storage.

Some of your primary Logistics Operations Specialist duties will include:

• Liaising with Aero lead engineers and the wind tunnel test facility to produce detailed weekly plans for test activities
• Organising and managing logistics for both personnel and test vehicles, including vehicle transportation, travel line management for test engineers, and managing fitter support
• Vehicle preparation work, including instrumentation, removal/assembly of mechanical components, and wheel and tyre changes
• Workshop activity coordination, raising and tracking job cards for additional support from the workshop team

The ideal Logistics Operations Specialist candidate will be hands-on and mechanically minded/qualified with working knowledge of Microsoft Office. You must also:

• Previous test planning and/or logistics planning experience
• Ability to take direction where needed, work under time pressures, and use initiative
• Excellent organisational skills
• Possess Mechanical Engineering qualifications
• Possess a full UK driving license without endorsements
