About the role: We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Science Teacher to join our team for the autumn term. The successful candidate will teach all sciences across Key Stages 3 and 4. While we welcome applications from all science specialisms, preference will be given to those with a background in physics. This position is ideal for both experienced science teachers and early career teachers (ECTs), provided they are aware that this is a one-term role. Due to the location of the school, in a village on the outskirts of Harlow, the candidate will need their own car and transport. The role also can become permanent and extend the position in January 2024 for an excellent candidate. The initial interview will be conducted via Zoom for convenience.

About the school: Situated in the picturesque village of Old Harlow, on the outskirts of Harlow itself. Our school is dedicated to providing a supportive and nurturing environment for both students and staff. We pride ourselves on our strong community ethos and commitment to academic excellence.

Application Requirements:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is preferable.
• Early Career Teachers (ECTs) are welcome to apply.
• Must have excellent spoken English.
• Due to the location of the school, candidates must have their own means of transport (car drivers only).
• The area is poorly served by public transport, making personal transportation mandatory.

 Key Responsibilities:

• Teach all science subjects across Key Stages 3 and 4.
• Plan and deliver engaging and effective lessons.
• Assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback and support as needed.
• Contribute to the development of the science curriculum.

Perks and Benefits:

• Competitive salary ranging from £30,000 to £41,333 per annum.
• Opportunity to be considered for a permanent science position starting in January 2024.
• Supportive and collaborative working environment.
• Professional development opportunities.
• Potential to be part of a well-respected school community.
