Luxshare-ICT Europe is responsible for the UK, European and India markets and is a dynamic and exciting company to be a part of. We are now looking for Electronic Engineer/Technical Sales to further strengthen our Northwest based team ready for the fantastic challenges that lie ahead.

Location: Lowton, near to Wigan/Warrington, WA3 2AN (Candidate must live within a commutable distance of the office as they will be predominantly based on-site). There will however, on occasion, as part of the role, be UK, European and International travel.

Job Title: Electronic Engineer/Technical Sales – European Division

Department: Sales – Full-time reporting to the Sales Office Manager and the Managing Director

What we offer

· Basic Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 commensurate on experience.

About the role

· It is essentially a hybrid role which will utilise all your engineering skills mixed with a sales environment to drive new business and help develop an existing customer base

· You will be involved in the full lifecycle, from feasibility to release to production and on-going support

· You will be involved in creating innovative designs that fulfil challenging user and performance requirements using your experience to help guide designs at all stages, from concept to release to manufacture

· You will be involved in new product development, working with both the client and the Luxshare factory teams

· Source, develop and establish new clients who might benefit from company products or services and maximise client potential in designated regions

· You will be working in Consumer Electronics, Automotive, Telecom and Medical markets

· Develop long-term relationships with clients, through managing and interpreting their requirements

· Working with mechanical engineers to realise electrical designs in 3d mechanical space

· The role will involve new account creation and management. The role requires strong electromechanical engineering knowledge and experience. You will be working on complex projects, so project management skills are an absolute necessity. The role is diverse and exciting due to the numerous markets Luxshare is engaged in

· Negotiate tender and contract terms and conditions to meet both client and company needs.

· Effective marketing of the extensive product portfolio within Luxshare to both new and existing customers to maximise our full sales potential.

· Make technical presentations and demonstrate how a product not only meets client needs but exceeds their current product range

· Develop a deep understanding of Luxshare’s range of components and processes

· Liaise with other members of the sales team and other technical experts

· Help in the design of custom-made products

· The role covers the full spectrum of the sales cycle, from marketing, new customer development through to customer account management

· Represent the company in technical interactions with external organisations. Ensure that any assumptions and dependencies associated with the solutions are identifies, recorded and maintained

Essential Skills for the Electronic Engineer/Technical Sales are

· Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or equivalent

· A lower-level qualification such as HNC would be considered if there was significant demonstrable relevant experience performing the same/similar work

· Proficiency in PCB layout and design using Altium

· Strong problem-solving skills

· Practical experience in electronic product design and product development

· Strong organisational skills, an entrepreneurial mindset, and the ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment are essential

· Excellent project management skills from initial enquiry through to new contract

· Seeking alternative componentry and ensuring they meet requirements

· Fully conversant with manufacturing techniques and capabilities, including design for manufacture and test

· Manage workload and communicate issues in a timely manner that does not impact upon the delivery or support to the customer

· Strong (verbal and written) communication skills with an ability to build relationships

· Candidate should be able/prepared to work at our client’s site

· Understanding of sales principles and a enthusiasm to embrace a career in business development

· Proven work experience in a relevant engineering role

· Computer literate, Microsoft Windows, Office

· UK full driving licence

Desirable Skills for the Electronic Engineer/Technical Sales are

· Understanding of cables and harness assemblies

· Experience in Power supplies

· Experience in Creo, Altium, AutoCAD and Allegro

· High degree of professionalism in customer service

· Experience of Industry 4.0 and IOT

· Good time-management skills with a problem-solving attitude

· Tenacious attitude when trying to win new business

· An enthusiastic, self-starter attitude and a hunger to succeed and help grow the division
