Role Overview: We are seeking a flexible and enthusiastic PPA Cover Teacher to join our team starting in September. This part-time role involves providing cover across the school during teachers' Planning, Preparation, and Assessment (PPA) time. The ideal candidate will be adaptable and skilled at teaching across different year groups, ensuring continuity of learning and maintaining high standards in the classroom.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and effective lessons across various year groups during PPA cover.
  • Ensure a smooth transition between regular class teachers and PPA cover.
  • Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports learning and development.
  • Assess and monitor pupil progress, providing constructive feedback where necessary.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to support the school's educational goals.
  • Participate in school events, activities, and continuous professional development opportunities.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience teaching in a primary school setting.
  • Ability to teach across different year groups and subjects.
  • Strong classroom management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Flexibility, adaptability, and a positive attitude towards challenges.
  • Hold an enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to undertake a new one.
