We have an excellent opportunity to join a leading UK based water treatment compnay as a Maintenance and Facilities Technician. You will be responsible for planned, preventative and reactive maintenance on production and warehousing equipment.

Responsibilities- Maintenance  and Facilities Technician

  • Perform routine maintenance, compliance inspections/checks, and repair of all production and warehousing equipment.
  • Undertake fault finding and repair on mechanical, electrical & pneumatic systems.
  • Conduct assigned preventive maintenance tasks to minimize downtime and maximize production performance.
  • Collaborate with production warehousing teams to plan and execute maintenance activities, ensuring minimal disruption.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work completed, parts used, and equipment condition.
  • Comply with Health & Safety regulations, operating standards, and controls to ensure work is performed correctly and safely.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of maintenance and facilities procedures and protocols.
  • Employ 5S methodology 
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and contribute to the continuous improvement of maintenance practices.

Person Specification- Maintenance and Facilities Technician

  • Embraces personal challenge, is resilient, optimistic, and open to change.
  • Positive, ‘can-do’ attitude.
  • Min. 3 year’s proven experience as a Maintenance Technician, supported by relevant technical qualifications (C&G/NVQ Level 3).
  • Experience of working in a fast-paced environment and knowledge of machinery maintenance Mechanical, pneumatic and electrical fault-finding skills.
  • Ability to read engineering drawings, schematics & technical instructions.
  • Proficient understanding and application of maintenance 'best practice' techniques.
  • Understanding the need of planned and predictive maintenance.
  • Computer literacy: proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Hold a valid UK Driving license.
  • Good verbal communication skills, including active listening and the ability to translate complex information, and liaise with different levels of management, staff, contractors, and suppliers.  Practical knowledge of Health and Safety legislation and ‘best practice’.
  • Continuous Improvement knowledge
  • Further certification/ training as Fire Warden/ FLT Driver/ First Aider would be advantageous.
