About the role

The Investigations Lead is a role working in the Quality Team, responsible for engaging key internal and external stakeholders to develop and embed excellent investigation practices across Certitude.

The role of an Investigations Lead is to develop and embed a root cause analysis approach to ensure consistently high-quality investigations are undertaken, and learning outcomes are shared when things go wrong.

Duties will include:

- Act as the expert lead for all investigations, supporting investigators and ensuring that investigations (e.g. disciplinary, safeguarding, financial, grievance, serious incidents etc) are completed in accordance with our policies and processes, working collaboratively with stakeholders.
- Act as the lead for serious incident investigations and complaints, providing close advice and support to colleagues.
- Work closely with the Quality Programme Manager as the lead for complaints, liaising with the CEO to ensure that complaints are promptly acknowledged, investigated, outcomes reported, actions addressed and learning embedded.
- Support the development and maintenance of consistent best practice.
- Ensure investigations are clearly briefed, well-conducted within the allocated timescales, and that reports are concise, unbiased and have identified system and/or people factors that led to the issues and organisational learning.

About you

To be an Investigation Lead at Certitude, the following are essential:

- Experience of investigating serious incidents, complaints, safeguarding issues etc within a large/complex organisation.
- Experience of conducting investigations using root cause methodologies.
- Experience of investigations within the health and social care sector or relevant transferable experience.
- Demonstrable knowledge of the regulatory and compliance frameworks under which a third sector social care organisation works e.g. CQC.
- Exceptional report writing skills.
- Developed knowledge across a wide range of safety and investigative procedures and practices – specifically root cause analysis.
