Position: Senior Legal Counsel
Role Type: Permanent, Part-Time (three days a week)
Location: Cambridge, predominately remote working with ad hoc travel to the office (around once every six weeks in Cambridge with some ad hoc travel to London for meetings)
Salary Guide: up to £(phone number removed) FTE (up to £60,000.00 for three days a week) pus excellent benefits

Our client is seeking an In-House Solicitor to join the team at Senior Legal Counsel level on a part-time basis, three days a week. This role offers remote working with occasional travel to the offices in the Cambridge region (once every six weeks) and some occasional travel to London for meetings.

Key Responsibilities:

• Handle general commercial agreements, including drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts.
• Provide legal advice and support on intellectual property (IP) matters.
• Advise on data protection issues and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
• Collaborate with internal teams to support the organisation's objectives while managing legal risks.
• Conduct legal research and provide guidance on various legal matters as needed.
• Management of a small legal function.

Requirements:

• Qualified UK Solicitor with a minimum of 8 years PQE.
• In-House background is essential, background in the technology and/or communications sector would be an advantage.
• Experience handling general commercial agreements, IP, and data protection matters.
• Prior management or team supervision experience.
• Driven, organised, and passionate about making a difference.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with excellent stakeholder management skills.
• You will have a positive and "can do" attitude.

Salary/Benefits:

• Competitive salary up to £100,000 per annum FTE/up to £60,000.00 for three days a week.
• Remote working with ad hoc travel to the office.
