Our client, a leading law firm in Manchester, is seeking an experienced Conveyancing Assistant to join their dynamic Real Estate Commercial team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual with a background in property law to contribute to a busy and successful practice.
Role Overview:
The successful candidate will be involved in a wide range of conveyancing activities, including:
- Handling newbuild transactions for purchasers, which includes preparing completion statements.
- Submitting SDLTs, conducting Land Registry searches, and applying for property searches.
- Managing sale transactions, issuing contract packs, and addressing sale enquiries.
- Preparing and submitting files for post-completion (AP1) and dealing with requisitions from the Land Registry. Knowledge of InfoTrack is beneficial.
- Maintaining communication with clients, developers, estate agents, and mortgage brokers.
Position Details:
- The role is office-based for an initial settling period, transitioning to remote working one day per week thereafter.
- You will provide one-on-one support to a Senior Associate with a demanding caseload, working within a small and friendly team.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Experience in handling conveyancing matters within a legal property department.
- Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills.
- Keen attention to detail.
- Experience with Proclaim, Lender Exchange, and LMS is advantageous, though comprehensive training will be provided.
