Life Skills & Engagement Worker | Wirral | 37.5 hours per week | Monday — Friday 11.00am — 19.00pm — Flexibility required | £21,806.88 — £23,250.64

For over 55 years, our client has provided safe, quality accommodation, along with first class support services to the most vulnerable members of society.

They provide person centred, supported housing across Wirral, Cheshire and Warrington, with a focus on specialist support services to people aged 18 years and over who are at risk of, about to become, or are homeless, and 16 to 21 year old care leavers.

In this role, you will deliver life skills support and learning sessions, engaging residents across the Links Project sites, conduct 1-2-1, group, drop-in, and peer-to-peer sessions to enhance resident participation, lead Links Resident meetings and ensure engagement in broader Forum activities, meetings, and panels and capture and amplify residents' voices through meaningful activities, delivered both in-house and by external partners.

What will your role look like?

Your key tasks will be:

  • To work with individuals and groups of residents to develop their life skills through providing support, advice, and guidance to participate in meaningful activities
  • To work with residents and staff to ensure resident participation in all aspects of the Association’s engagement and participation activities
  • To support programme development to ensure all activities have meaningful outcomes
  • To support resident move-in across all Links sites
  • For Ofsted registered sites, to adhere to all Ofsted regulations and standards, provide quality and consistency of service and property standards to continually meet the Ofsted regulations, and be part of the preparation for Ofsted inspections

What can you expect in return?

  • The pension scheme for new staff will be based on a defined employer contribution of 3% and employee contribution of 5% (minimum)
  • 5.6 weeks and maximum of 5 Extra Company Days awarded based on length of service.
