Practice Accountant
Position Title: Practice Accountant
Location: Biggleswade
Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent, Fully in office
Salary: £40,000 - £60,000 per annum

Summary of Position:
To expand the team, our client is looking for a qualified and seasoned practice accountant. The ideal applicant will be highly proficient in accounting concepts and procedures, possess strong analytical abilities, and be able to work quickly and effectively in a fast-paced setting. Managing client accounts, creating financial statements, reviewing work, managing the team, and giving clients strategic financial guidance are all part of the duties of a practice accountant.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee a portfolio of clients' accounts, making sure that all information is accurate and that all laws are followed.
- Compile company tax returns and financial accounts.
- Perform financial analysis and offer clients information to support them in making wise business decisions.
- Help customers with tax preparation and compliance, including tax planning and filing.
- Build and preserve a solid rapport with clients, serving as a reliable resource for financial advice.
- Remain current on modifications to accounting laws and industry standards to guarantee adherence and effectiveness
- Work together with colleagues to streamline procedures and provide outstanding customer service.
- Help with deadline reviews, team overviews, and workflow management
- Examine the work of fellow team members in areas such as tax returns, bookkeeping, accounts, and VAT returns.
- Aid in meeting anti-money laundering regulations
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- ACA/ACCA/CIMA/AAT qualification
- ·1 year PQE with 3+ years of experience in public accounting or a similar role
- Proficiency in accounting software such as Xero or similar programs
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail and accuracy
