Head of Manufacturing – Maidenhead -  £70,000 to £80,000 – 10% Bonus – Excellent Pension and Benefits

Are you a visionary leader with a passion for manufacturing excellence? We are seeking an exceptional Head of Manufacturing to join our clients team and drive operational success.

In this pivotal role, you'll oversee our production processes, ensure quality standards, and lead a talented team to achieve peak performance. Your expertise in lean manufacturing, process optimisation, and strategic planning will be crucial in propelling growth and innovation.

Head of Manufacturing – Role Overview:

Reporting into the head of operations you will drive Business process and Productivity improvements through innovative best in class manufacturing techniques.

You will utilise your strong technical background in electro-mechanical engineering, automation and robotics coupled with exceptional management skills to ensure the capacity, and capability of manufacturing processes, and equipment match what is required.

Head of Manufacturing – Role Responsibilities:

Develop and implement strategic plans for the ME and Automation departments to support company goals and objectives.

Oversee the planning, execution, and successful delivery of complex engineering projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of engineers, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.

Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance engineering processes, reduce costs, and increase productivity.

Provide technical leadership and guidance in the design, development, and implementation of mechanical systems and automated solutions.

Facilitate across multiple functions the introduction of new products and industrialisation

Collaborate with senior management, and stakeholders to understand requirements, communicate progress, and address any technical challenges or concerns

Promote a culture of quality and safety, ensuring compliance with all relevant standards, regulations, and best practices.

Plan and manage all capital investment in tools and processes

Head of Manufacturing – Role Responsibilities:

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automation Engineering, or a related field.

Experience in mechanical engineering and automation, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.

Proven track record of leading complex engineering projects from conception to completion.

In-depth knowledge of automation and robotics with the ability to drive training and technical support of new processes.

Able to drive quality efficiency and effectiveness through deployment of lean/6 sigma methodologies.

Able to lead manufacturing input to drive efficiency.

Experience in procuring capital equipment and managing capital budgets.

Strong understanding of DFMA tools.

Able to influence and solicit buy-in from a wide range of BU stakeholders

Excellent people management skills with the ability to lead, train, mentor, and coach individuals.

Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership abilities.
