SWIFT Temps Ltd Industrial Recruitment Division has a fantastic opportunity for a Trainee Goods In Supervisor / Manager to join our client's operations division in Holmfirth . This role offers full training and is a pathway to a permanent Warehouse Supervisor position.

To work alongside the current Manager who is retiring in 6 months time with a view to take over the role

Job Role:

• Daily Oversight: Supervise all Warehouse and Distribution activities.
• Warehouse Functions: Supervise Goods in, Goods out, and Stock Control.
• Inventory Management: Conduct stock-taking and inventory control investigations.
• Cross-Department Collaboration: Work with Supply Chain and Sales teams to optimize warehouse storage in line with forecasts and seasonal demands.
• Quality Control: Ensure robust Quality Control processes for stock receipt, storage, and delivery.
• Department Improvements: Identify and implement improvements.
• Warehouse Maintenance: Plan and implement design layouts; manage equipment maintenance and replacements.
• Health and Safety: Maintain high standards of health, safety, and food safety.

Experience Required:

• Warehouse Experience: Proven experience in a warehouse environment.
• FLT Counterbalance Licence: Required for this role.
• Time Management: Ability to set priorities, meet deadlines, and manage time effectively.
• Communication: Excellent communication skills.
• Collaboration: Ability to collaborate with managers across the business.
• Hands-On Approach: Practical involvement in all duties.
• Numeracy, Literacy, IT Skills: High proficiency required.
• Problem-Solving: Ability to work strategically under pressure.
• Staff Management: Experience in leading, motivating, training, and developing staff.
• Team Player: Strong teamwork skills.
• System Improvements: Track record of contributing to system efficiency improvements.
• Flexibility: Ability to work nights if required.

Working Hours:

• Days: Monday – Friday
• Hours: Flexible between 7am and 4pm / 8am an 5pm , 8 hours a day shift Full Time Role

Salary:

• Training Period: £11.44 per hour
• Post Training: £32,000 per annum once fully trained
