Job DescriptionWe are currently looking to recruit a Recoveries Team Leader to join our wider Claims function on a 9 - 12 month, parental cover, Fixed Term Contract.
The Team Leader is responsible for the day-to-day management and development of their team in dealing with newly reported claims through the settlement. You will support the team to accomplish tasks and priorities, ensuring a consistent and detailed approach to customer care and process control. The successful candidate will also ensure that the individual team members are developed to their full potential and prioritise their training needs.
What you will do:
- Manage a team of individuals ensuring the highest standards of customer care are delivered, the team have the right mentor and learning in place and drive esure’s culture.
- Plans schedules, review workload and resource to make sure department targets are being met and claims are handled efficiently with a high level of indemnity control.
- Deal with sophisticated claims issues, customer complaints, referrals from the team, combined with the requirement to make decisions about the validity of a claim.
- Maintain and grow strong external relationships with individuals such as suppliers and solicitors.
- Ensure team 1-2-1s are used as an effective tool to supervise and provide feedback, ensuring quality checks are always completed and provide constructive feedback to the team.
What we are looking for:
- Extensive knowledge of working within a Claims function (Recoveries experience is highly advantageous).
- Demonstrate a good understanding of general claims handling with end to end knowledge of Claims processes and systems.
- Proven track record in managing complicated claims issues and be a point of escalation for complex claims / fraud investigations.
- A passion for people and team culture!
- Someone who can bring people together, coach and mentor and strive for high performance and high development within a team.
- Excellent organisational and planning skills with the ability to prioritise, multi-task work to tight deadlines.
