Category Buyer

Do you have procurement experience, and are you seeking a new contract role in Peterlee? Jonathan Lee Recruitment is helping a collaborative company recruit an Advanced Category Buyer, and the role comes with an umbrella contract rate of £32.20/hr (Inside IR35).

You will support the execution of category strategy for tailored categories and gain a deep understanding of the supply base in Europe, becoming a trusted advisor to internal customers.

In your first few weeks in this procurement management role, you can expect to:

• Manage procurement of dedicated categories
• Follow local and corporate procurement compliance procedures
• Stabilise and clean the supply base in line with the purchasing strategy

To apply for this Advanced Purchasing Analyst role, your soft skills, expertise and experience should include:

• Strong experience within a Buying or Purchasing role
• Confident negotiation skills, comfortable to lead
• Positive attitude and always looking to find a win/win resolution
• Experience in developing working relationships with others cross-functionally
• Strong Excel knowledge (they use a high number of supplier portals so need to have experience working across multiple systems with ability to adapt
• MCIPS qualified (desirable)
• Manufacturing background (desirable)
