Job Title: Asbestos Lab Analyst
Location: Bromborough, Cheshire.
Salary / Benefits £24k - £32k + Training + Benefits
We are working closely with an industry leading name within the Asbestos industry who hold a presence across the UK. They are now looking to recruit an Asbestos Lab Analyst to join their friendly team in the North West region. You will be responsible for ensuring all samples are logged and safely stored upon arrival to the laboratory, carrying out analysis of asbestos samples in a timely manner, ensuring to return completed job sheets back to clients in a timely manner. You will also be responsible for calibrating equipment to ensure accurate reports as well as always keeping the laboratory clean and tidy.
Consideration will be given to candidates from: Chester, Saltney, Ellesmere Port, Bebington, Birkenhead, Runcorn, Widnes, Warrington, Prescot.
Experience & Qualifications:
" Must hold the BOHS P401 qualification.
" Will have extensive experience working as a lab analyst for a UKAS accredited Asbestos Consultancy.
" Well versed in HSG 248 guidelines.
" Excellent observational skills.
" Able to communicate efficiently with clients and colleagues of all levels.
" Good IT skills, able to keep systems up to date.
The Role:
" Carrying out sample analysis of asbestos samples using PLM and stereo microscopy.
" Accurately logging samples onto internal systems upon arrival to the laboratory, ensuring to store correctly.
" Safely preparing samples for analysis.
" Ensuring to complete job sheets upon completion of sample analysis, ensuring to return to clients in a timely manner.
" Maintaining the companies UKAS accreditation.
" Ensuring to calibrate equipment accurately when required.
" Ensuring the laboratory is clean and tidy.
" Working in line with HSG 248 guidelines.
" Liaising with clients when required, providing support and advice.
