Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant

Location: Outskirts of Milton Keynes (approximately 25 minutes drive south-west of Milton Keynes)

Salary: £85-£100 per day

Job Type: Full-time, Term-time only, September 2024 start (interviews to take place Monday 15th - Friday 19th July 2024)

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 4:30pm

About the Role:

TimePlan Education is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team. This position is based in a beautiful, Ofsted Outstanding SEN school located on the outskirts of Milton Keynes. The school caters to students aged 4 to 19 years old with Autism (ASD) and Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SCLN). You must be willing to work with a variety of age ranges and make a significant impact on the lives of our students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide support to students with Autism (ASD) and Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SCLN)
  • Assist in the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs)
  • Work closely with the teaching staff to create a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Support students in their academic, social, and emotional development
  • Use your initiative to create engaging and innovative ways to support learning
  • Monitor and record student progress

Requirements:

  • Must be a driver due to the location of the school
  • Must be available for interview Monday 15th - Friday 19th July 2024)
  • Bubbly, confident and positive personality
  • Passionate about helping others
  • Experience working with younger people (whether that is in a school, care, hospital, social work, or youth work setting, etc)
  • Experience with SEN (either in a working environment or personally, such as with family)
  • Enhanced Child and Adult DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one through TimePlan Education
